Our story
Teachers trained where the schools are
AKT Memorial College of Education opened in 2006 to train the teachers the district's growing schools needed. Its B.Ed. and M.Ed. programmes follow the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University curriculum and NCTE norms.
Trainees do their school internship across AKT's own schools, from Montessori kindergarten to CBSE and State Board higher secondary, so they teach real classes under mentors before they graduate.
